Welcome to the Program in Quantitive Physiology

Undergraduates: Download the Descriptive Flyer or start on the Application.  NOTE THAT THE ROOM FOR HARDCOPY APPLICATIONS IS NOW MJIS 2019 (Biomedical Engineering Building)!

Graduate students: Information coming soon.

With funding from the NSF and cooperation among the departments of Biology, Mathematics, Basic Medical Sciences, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, Purdue's program in quantitative physiology seeks to provide training and support for undergraduate and graduate students to apply mathematical and computational tools to understand the structure and function of biological systems at the physiological level.

Students in the program have the opportunity to work closely with other students and with faculty mentors on a variety of research topics, including cardiac electrophysiology, coding strategies in the auditory system, neuronal models of learning-induced plasticity, and spinal cord injury. Specially designated courses provide the background and training needed to be successful in this research, and regular seminars provide the program with a supportive community of researchers and the opportunity to present the results of the on-going research.

Scholarship support is available for both undergraduate and graduate students. Take a moment to explore the links to the left and fill out an application if you're ready to get started!
